The BoviPhIT App aims to put all the wisdom of your old livestock judging coach into your back pocket. Our iOS app allows you to use the cameras already on your iPhone (Pro/Max models 12+) to create a high accuracy 3D scan of key structural features of your cow. Get real time feedback image capture as you scan and scan any body part you fancy – your scan is ultimately only limited by how long your cow will stand still.
The 3D image itself is rendered instantly chute side without requiring Wi-Fi or network connections. You can even purchase a used phone and utilize the app without ever adding it to your phone plan (you just need a confirmed Apple ID). The “digital twin” you create can be saved on the phone, to access and review at a later date, at no cost. Alternatively, scans can be submitted to the cloud for further analyses.

Easily share scan with anyone you’d like – your vet, prospective buyers, etc – by sharing a link via email to view the scan in an interactive popup window.
Not confident about visually scoring your cows feet to report phenotypes back to your breed orgs? Want a more holistic/comprehensive way to quantify hoof health? Our patented computer vision algorithms will automatically extract the key anatomical features of the hoof to measure features like hoof angle (for each toe), claw set angle (splay claw), and hoof length (relative and in mm). We will be continuing to add additional measurements over the next few months for claw curvature (screw claw), toe symmetry, heel depth, and overall hoof size.
Want to show off the structural integrity of your cattle when marketing them for sale (or simply avoid buyer’s remorse)? Easily create a phenotype report for each cow using their best scans. Information from hoof scans are formatted to summarize hoof morphometrics, with 2D renders with perfect front and side profile renders that when clicked will bring up a popup window to dynamically inspect the original 3D scan. Scans of “other” structural features are listed at the bottom of the report to access and view 3D scan. Report can be emailed to to your perspective buyers, or create a QR code that can be added to your sales catalogue for easy access via phone or computer
Assess the structural integrity of your herd by analyzing the distribution of each hoof phenotype. Quickly identify subgroups of animals that fall above and below optimal angles and proportions established by research and convention. Look for patterns in structural features using our UML-enhanced heatmap visualizations to quickly identify animals that may need a bit more help to stay sound and productive.
